Legion of Mary

Legion of Mary

Our Mission:

The Legion of Mary is an international association of lay Catholics finding Jesus through prayer, works of mercy and evangelization rooted in Marian spirituality and commitment to the Holy Spirit.

The Legion of Mary was founded by Frank Duff on 7 September 1921 in Dublin to help Catholic laypeople fulfill their baptismal promises and be able to live their dedication to the Church in an organized structure, supported by fraternity and prayer.

What We Do:

We lead the rosary at assisted living facilities, teach EFF, visit the homebound, promote the Pilgrim Virgin Statue, provide free rosary packets in the Narthex, sponsor the Rosary on The Green, Host Divine Mercy Sunday, co-hosted Mary's Mantle Consecration, hosted Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary talks.

Any practicing Catholic can be a member. There are two classes of membership: active members and auxiliary members. Active members attend a meeting once a week and perform works of service. Auxiliary members pray the rosary and the prayers of the Legion of Mary every day for the intentions of the Blessed Mother.
