A Word from Father Stokely

This weekend's Gospel usually prompts us to reflect upon how well we share our God-given abilities with others. Another aspect we may want to consider is the magnitude of God's blessings. In the time of Jesus, a talent was a large sum of money, equal to fifteen years of wages for a day laborer. So the servants were entrusted with seventy-five, thirty, and fifteen years' worth of wages… that's a lot! In everyday life, we sometimes magnify our troubles while diminishing God's blessings. As grateful stewards of God's gifts and graces, are we aware of the magnitude of His blessings?

A Call for Priestly Vocations

The gathering will be held this Monday, November 20, 6:30 PM, at St. Joseph Church in Downingtown. The program includes Evening Prayer, dinner and conversation with priests and seminarians.

The St. Andrew Dinner is named after the apostle, who, in the Gospel according to John, brought his brother Simon Peter to meet Jesus.
