Assist the priest and deacon during the celebration of Mass and other liturgical events.

Both boys and girls can begin their preparation at the beginning of fifth grade. Required training sessions are conducted for new altar servers each fall.

During a three-month period, altar servers are typically scheduled to assist at two to four Masses based upon their preferred Mass times.
