The mission of the Creation Care Team is stewardship of God’s creation. Our concerns include climate change, pollution, and overuse of the earth’s resources. We are motivated by the
concern God shows for his creation in the bible, the strong urgings of our popes and several bishops starting with Pius VI, the disproportionate burden that environmental damage places
on the poor, and the desire to leave a more habitable planet to future generations. The team gives us a way to work together to put our faith into action. We do this by sharing information
and resources with each other, and by working to inform the entire parish of both the need and ways that they can participate.
The Creation Care team has sub-committees based on different ways we can care for our environment. There are many opportunities to serve based on your interests:
Our group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month. We will prayerfully reflect on our place in Creation, advocate for more moral climate policies, and take real action to reduce our carbon footprint. By getting together as a team, we will bring diverse gifts and talents together.
