PA state law and Archdiocesan policy requires all church personnel and volunteers obtain background checks (see Part 1 below) prior to beginning work/service, and training to be completed within 30 days of your start date (see Part 2 below). Please submit completed forms to the parish office.
All three clearances must be renewed every 5 years and submitted to the Parish Services Office.
1. a.) If you are a volunteer and have been a PA resident for 10 consecutive years, you do not need a fingerprint background check, but you must fill out and sign a Volunteer Application Disclosure form:

Please complete the application in the link above. Once you complete your application, please send the certificate to the parish office.Part 2 - Archdiocese of Philadelphia Training Requirements:
All volunteers who have regular contact with children must complete the following training and return certificates of attendance/completion to the Parish Services Office:
1. Safe Environment Part I: Protecting God’s Children class (in person) - For registration and class locations, go to: http://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/reg_list2.cfm?theme=0 , select Philadelphia, PA Archdiocese, then chose the best date for you to attend a session.
2. Safe Environment Part II: Mandatory Reporter of Suspected Child Abuse - Must be completed online through the OCYP website: https://learning.childyouthprotection.org/.
Coaches
In addition, all coaches must attend the Archdiocese of Philadelphia CYO Coaches Orientation session. You can access the online course here:

Please turn in a copy of your certificate of attendance to the parish office to be kept on file.
All volunteers and employees with incomplete or out-of-date clearances will be moved to “inactive status” and not be permitted to work or volunteer until all requirements have been met.
