Other Activities of Interest
Pilgrimage to Washington, D.C.
Archbishop Nelson Perez will lead a pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C, on Saturday, October 15. SS Peter & Paul Parish and SS Simon & Jude Parish are co-sponsoring a bus trip to the pilgrimage. Starting at 8:OO AM, one of many deluxe motor coaches departing throughout the Archdiocese will depart from Saints Peter and Paul Parish, 1325 Boot Rd, West Chester. Arrive by 7:45 AM behind the church. (If you have a problem the morning of the trip please call Mary Ann McCarry at 610 506 4252.) Please bring your lunch and beverage on the bus. (Shrine cafeteria is closed). Upon arrival to D.C., there will be a tour of the Basilica, time for Confession, Procession and Crowning of the Image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, recitation of the Rosary, Mass with Archbishop Perez and Priests of the Archdiocese. We will then head to Baltimore, MD for a delicious, 3-course supper at McCormick & Schmick's! We exptect to arrive back at Saints Peter and Paul Church by 10:30 PM. Cost is $110 per person which includes travel by deluxe motorcoach, 3 course supper in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and tip for the driver. Compassionate Senior Companions
Are you interested in providing support and compassion to senior citizens in our community? Compassionate Senior Companions, a company run by Kate Somers, a parishioner at St. Joseph Church, has immediate full-time and part-time positions available for companion and person care aides. Our Lady of Confidence Retreat for Persons with Disabilities
A three-day retreat at Malvern Retreat House has been scheduled for October 11, 12 & 13 for adults with disabilities. The retreat is geared for adults with intellectual, physical or emotional disabilities. The retreat will be directed by a team: Fr. Dennis Weber, Fr. Amal Sawarimuthu, Fr. Mike Speziale and Fr. 24th Annual Heat for the Holidays Program
Oliver Heating & Air Conditioning in Morton is sponsoring a program to donate and install heaters for local families who might be experiencing hardships and need a helping hand during the holiday season. Candlelight Remembrance at All Souls Cemetery
On Thursday, December 1, from 6:00-7:30 PM, All Souls Cemetery in Coatesville will hold a Candlelight Remembrance Service for all loved ones who are resting there. The service will be led by Rev.
