Holocaust Remembrance Day

This coming Wednesday, April 19, at 5:00 PM, Beth Israel Congregation of Chester County will be honoring the family of one of their members, Sigrid Rosenthal. They will be planting a tree in memory of Sigrid's family, who perished in the Holocaust. Sigird will be telling her story followed by a Yom HaShoah service. All are invited to join in the service in the Holocaust Memorial Garden.

Floral Tribute Plan at All Souls Cemetery

If you have a loved one who was laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery, be sure to honor their memory with flowers by enrolling in the Floral Tribute Plan. We offer a full selection of handmade year-round silk flowers and decorations. Our plans provide four placements with predetermined months and types of arrangements placed. Our cemetery staff will place your selected arrangements at the gravesite of your loved ones and carefully replace them when the next seasonal arrangement is ready to be placed. Clarity in Our Confused Classrooms

The Respect Life Committee of Saint Peter Parish in West Brandywine is sponsoring a presentation and discussion on the transgender phenomenon and how it is affecting students, teachers and families. Two local groups have researched the schools in our area and will share what is currently happening. They will discuss how parents can best participate in their child’s education and encourage schools to get back to the basics. This discussion will take place on Monday, April 17 from 7-8:30 PM at Saint Peter Church on 2835 Manor Road in West Brandywine. No entry fee or registration is required. Dysconnected Film Presentation

Join us for the Pennsylvania premiere of the movie Dysconnected: The Real Story Behind the Transgender Explosion, presented by the Saint Peter Parish Respect Life Committee. The movie will be shown in 3 locations: on Friday, April 28 at 7:00 PM at 430 West Events in West Chester; Saturday, April 29 at 9:30 AM at the Broad Theater in Souderton; and Saturday, April 29 at 3:00 PM at the Regal UA in King of Prussia. This 90 minute film delves into the historical, cultural and spiritual consequences regarding the social phenomenon of gender transition among teens and children. Retreat for Nurses

Paging all nurses! Daylesford Abbey in Paoli will hold a retreat for nurses on Sunday, May 7. Join fellow nurses for an afternoon of fellowship, reflection and renewal. FCE 2023 Golf Outing

Please save the date for the Foundation for Catholic Education’s Second Annual Golf Outing on May 16 at the Union League, Liberty Hill Golf Club in Lafayette Hill. Catholic Charities Night at Citizens Bank Park

Support the Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) and watch the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Chicago Cubs at Citizens Bank Park on Friday, May 19 at 7:05 PM. A portion of the proceeds from all tickets sold will directly benefit CCA programs that provide support to those experiencing homelessness, special needs students, food cupboards, afterschool programs, and more. If 500 or more tickets are sold, Jay from Don Guanella, a CCA beneficiary will throw out the first pitch of the game and Cardinal O’Hara High School Choir will sing the National Anthem. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School 50th Class Reunion

There will be a 50th Class Reunion for graduates of John W. Hallahan High School on October 14-15, 2023. We will meet at Logan Square at 4:00 PM on October 14 for pictures, immediately followed by Mass at 5:15 PM at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul.
