REAL Tutoring Program

Join your neighbors and fellow parishioners and make a REAL impact in the life of a second grader at a local elementary school. Administered by Partners in Outreach, REAL: Reading Excites All Learners is a one-on-one tutoring program built to support at-risk readers in early grades. Prison Ministry Online Art Show and Sale

Inmates at Coal Township State Correctional Institution who are part of a prison ministry/mentoring program will hold an online art show from Friday, November 10, through Sunday, November 19. The inmates will showcase their original paintings, drawings, greeting cards and calendars which will be for sale. Half of the proceeds of this art show will go back to the artists to replenish art supplies and have monies to send home for Christmas gifts for their families, and half will go towards charities picked by other churches around the area. Christmas Bazaar at Visitation BVM

Visitation BVM Parish in Trooper will hold its 66th Annual Christmas Bazaar on Friday, November 17, 6:30 PM-10:00 PM, & Saturday, November 18, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM on the church grounds. There will be a basket raffle with over 100 baskets, vendors, a social garden on Friday evening, bake booth, cheer wheel, and Santa’s Secret Shop for the youngest Christmas shoppers. Candlelight Remembrance at All Souls Cemetery

All Souls Cemetery in Coatesville will hold a Candlelight Remembrance on Monday, November 29, at 6:00 PM on the cemetery grounds. The service will include luminaries in honor of our loved ones during All Souls Month. The service will be led by Fr. Fitzpatrick from St. Peter Parish, with refreshments and live music from the Bishop Shanahan High School chorus. Want to join us but think it’s too cold? The Nutcracker

The Schuykill Valley Regional Dance Company will present its 52nd edition of The Nutcracker on Friday, December 8 at 6:30 PM, and Saturday, December 9, at 1:00 PM & 5:00 PM, at Phoenixville Middle School Theater, 1000 Purple Pride Parkway, in Phoenixville. Come warm your hearts and ignite your spirits in this treasured Christmas holiday classic for the whole family! Featuring over 60 dancers and professional artists. Advent Day of Recollection

The Office of Consecrated Life is once again sponsoring an Advent Day of Recollection on Saturday, December 16, starting at 9:00 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of SS Peter & Paul. (Conferences for the day will be held at Drexel Hall). The day will include talks by Mother Maria Catherine, PVMI, Confessions, lunch, Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Exposition & Benediction.
