An open parish meeting was held in the church at 7:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2020 where the Lynn Cummings Development Consultants (LCDC) team presented a formal report on the Feasibility Study and invited parishioners’ feedback on the proposed 3-5 year campaign in anticipation of the parish’s 25th anniversary in 2025.

Last spring, the parish enlisted the professional services of LCDC to conduct a Feasibility Study to assess parishioners' interest in and readiness to support an anniversary capital campaign to address several critical financial challenges confronting the parish in the next 3-5 years.

These challenges were identified in the 2018-2019 Parish Financial Report mailed to all parish families last January. This report was based on the situation before the Covid-19 pandemic and its additional financial impact on the parish.

Looking to the immediate and long-range future, our parish community faces several significant financial challenges:

  • decreasing collection income as Mass attendance and giving levels decline
  • steadily rising operating costs for both the parish and the parish school
  • increasing costs for technology development, capital projects and long-term maintenance repairs as the parish facilities are over 16 years old
  • continuing to meet the debt service on the two parish mortgages
  • maintaining the parish’s ongoing commitment to the parish school, as enrollment varies and operational deficits rise despite annual tuition increases and added school fundraising.
