Bulletin - April 30, 2017

A Word from Father Mullin

Christ is risen, Alleluia!

He is risen indeed, Alleluia!

Have your hearts ever burned within you while you were listening to the Word of God? The disciples on the road to Emmaus teach us something very important!

As most of you know, the Church teaches that the Lord Jesus is present among us in a unique and abiding way in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. Do you know that the Church also teaches that the Lord is present among us whenever the Sacred Scriptures are proclaimed at Mass?

The Word of God has the power to set our hearts afire, if only we listen with attention. As Jeremiah tells us: When I found your words, I consumed them and they became the joy and happiness of my heart! (Jer. 15:16)

Fr. Tom Mullin
