Bulletin - November 12, 2017

A Word from Father Mullin

Having spent close to a third of my life on the campus of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, eight years as a student and later, thirteen years as a faculty member, I admittedly have a special affinity for the place!

So each November, when the annual Seminary Appeal comes around, I find it important to open up my check book and make a personal contribution to the spiritual and theological formation of our future priests, deacons and the laity of the Church.

If you have not already responded to the seminary’s direct mail campaign, please consider making a personal contribution to the 2017-2018 appeal, helping to ensure the future of the Church in Philadelphia and more than a dozen other dioceses across the country.

Father Tom Mullin

Annual Appeal for St. Charles Seminary

This weekend we welcome to the parish two seminarians, John Paul Heisler and Michael Quillen, who are First Theology seminarians at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA. Michael is studying for the Diocese of Raleigh, NC, while John Paul is studying for the Diocese of Arlington, VA. Both seminarians come to Saint Elizabeth for field education training on Thursdays throughout the year.

At each parish Mass this weekend, John Paul will be speaking on behalf of the annual appeal for Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. Brochures, donor cards and return envelopes are available in the church narthex all during November. Thank you for your generosity to the 2017-2018 Seminary Appeal.
