Bulletin - November 19, 2017

A Word from Father Stokely

This weekend's Gospel usually prompts us to reflect upon how well we share our God-given abilities with others. Another aspect we may want to consider is the magnitude of God's blessings. In the time of Jesus, a talent was a large sum of money, equal to fifteen years of wages for a day laborer. So the servants were entrusted with seventy-five, thirty, and fifteen years' worth of wages… that's a lot! In everyday life, we sometimes magnify our troubles while diminishing God's blessings. As grateful stewards of God's gifts and graces, are we aware of the magnitude of His blessings?
