Bulletin - June 3, 2018

A Word from Father Mullin

The words of today’s Responsorial Psalm express the most basic and most convincing reason for our regular participation at Mass:

How shall I make a return to the Lord for all the good he has done for me? ... To you, O Lord, I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving and I will call upon the name of the Lord.

The more deeply we recognize and are grateful for all the good the Lord has done for us, most especially the gifts of human life and of eternal life in Jesus Christ, the more reason we have to come to the altar together with fellow believers to offer to the Lord the most perfect sacrifice of all, the Body and Blood of Jesus.

Sadly, the less grateful we are and the less attentive we are to all that the Lord has done for us, the less motivation we have to celebrate the Holy Eucharist in the community of faith.

On this solemn celebration of the Body and Blood of Jesus, let us all renew our commitment to celebrate the Holy Eucharist with gratitude for all that the Lord has done for us!

Fr. Tom Mullin
