A Word from Father Stokely

As Jesus said in last week's Gospel, "A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and among his own kin and in his own house." And this week we see that those God calls to be prophetic are sometimes not welcome in foreign lands either.

By our baptism, we are chosen by God to be prophets - to proclaim the Good News by our word and example. May God grant us the grace and courage to be his prophets, especially when his Word is met with hostility or indifference.

Fr. John Stokely
