We Thirst-Christian Reflections on Addiction: Catholic Social Services and the Office for the New Evangelization will be offering this popular series about the topic of addiction from a Christian perspective. The program consists of five contemplative sessions designed for all Christians who would like to learn more to become part of a solution to a problem that has reached epidemic proportions. Consider one or all three of these unique and energizing camps full of prayer, friendship, recreation and so much more. Martin Saints Classical H.S. Summer Enrichment Programs: Martin Saints Classical High School, located in Oreland, is pleased to offer the following enrichment opportunities this summer. Director/Coordinator of Religious Education & Faith Formation

Saint Elizabeth Church is looking for a capable individual, lay or religious, to serve as a full-time director/coordinator of religious education & faith formation (D/CRE), beginning in September of 2019.  The D/CRE is primarily responsible for the planning and administration of parish religious education programs, including elementary faith formation (EFF), adult faith formation (AFF), sacramental preparation, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults & Children (RCIA & RCIC) and the Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW).
The preferred candidate must be a baptized and actively practicing Catholic in good standing at his/her proper parish; have an undergraduate level and preferably a graduate level degree in Catholic theology, catechetics or a related field; and have at least three years of administrative experience in religious education in a Catholic parish or Catholic school setting.  The candidate should possess sound interpersonal communication and organizational skills, an ability to relate effectively with others, and an ability to coordinate the talents and skills of others with varying backgrounds and temperaments for the good of the parish community as a whole.


Parish Youth Ministry Coordinator

Saint Elizabeth Church is looking for a capable individual to provide leadership to and work in collaboration with the Parish Youth Ministry Team in the design and implementation of a Christ-centered, multi-phased youth ministry program that fosters among parish youth a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a greater understanding of their Catholic faith and a deeper personal commitment to living out their faith in daily life.
This position calls for a genuine interest in young people and a sensitivity to their personal and spiritual needs; an ability to relate effectively with others, including children, teens and adults; sound inter­personal communication and organizational skills; and a willingness to collaborate with others for the good of our young parishioners and of the parish community as a whole.
The preferred candidate must be a baptized and actively practicing Catholic in good standing at his/her proper parish; have at least an undergraduate degree in education, catechetics, youth ministry or a related field; and have at least three years of experience organizing programs for and working directly with youth in a parish or school setting.

Providing Shelter and Encouragement for the Homeless


Safe Harbor of Greater West Chester is an independent, nonprofit organization providing food, shelter, friendship, counseling and recovery opportunities to homeless men and women in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Safe Harbor's objectives focus on rehabilitation, treatment, employment, financial stability and housing for its residents. Goals include: employment, savings, entering job training or treatment programs and, ultimately, moving into stable housing.
Since its inception in 1992, Safe Harbor has provided shelter, meals, friendship and support for many who otherwise have little or no support resources on which to rely.
Services provided:
    Lunch for 40-60 low and no income men, women and children every weekday starting at 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM
    Overnight shelter, breakfast and dinner for 40 adult men and women
    On-site counseling and case management services
    Personal hygiene supplies
    Job training referral and employment placement counseling
    Weekly Life Skills training (i.e. conflict resolution, banking)
    Weekly AA and Narcotics Anonymous meetings
    Access to health, financial and legal aid services
    Appropriate referral for recovery issues
    Collaboration with other human service agencies.
