SS. Philip & James, Exton: Join us on Thursday, September 17, 6:30-8:00 PM in the parking lot by the cafeteria, for a one-evening Bereavement Workshop, “Grief During a Pandemic”. Please bring your own chair, and a mask in case you need to go in the building. Restrooms in the cafeteria will be available if needed. Light refreshments will be served. If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, no matter how much time has passed, please know that you are not alone. Our Bereavement informal meeting is open for all those who are grieving. Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity: Are you discerning a religious life? Volunteer English Program in Chester County: Change someone’s life and see how it changes yours! Become a Volunteer Tutor! Tutors provided weekly, one-to-one English language instruction for adult immigrants or refugees who speak one of over 50 languages spoken in Chester County. Tutors must be available for a one-year commitment to virtual tutoring. Prior teaching experience is not required. Life experience, time and a compassion for helping others is a plus! Join us at the September 3-Day Virtual Tutor Training Workshop to get involved. The program will run on Tuesday, September 22; Thursday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 30, from 6:00-8:00 PM, each evening. It will be offered through Zoom Virtual Platform. West Chester Food Cupboard: In need of food assistance? Live in Pennsylvania? We are open to serve you! The West Chester Food Cupboard is now serving people who live outside the West Chester Area School District. This means any resident of Pennsylvania can come to the Cupboard and get food. We provide quality non-perishable items, fresh produce, dairy and meat products for you and your family with safe and friendly drive-through service. No appointment is needed– just stop in during our hours of operation: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 8:30 - 11:30 AM. Collections for the Homeless: Several parish families, in cooperation with the Legionaries of Christ, are collecting toiletries, clothing and bagged lunches for the homeless in Center City Philadelphia on Friday afternoons for distribution on Saturday mornings.
