St. Charles Borromeo Seminary: Christmas brings us joy and hope for the future which we need more this year than ever. The Cathedral Christmas Concert, Prayer for Peace, can be viewed until Friday, January 15th.  Join the Cathedral Basilica Schola and instrumentalists for a virtual event filled with peace and joy. This year’s program includes works by Abbie Betinis, Frank La Rocca, Julian Wachner, William Walton, along with beloved Christmas Carols for singing along in the comfort and safety of your home. Tickets for the Prayer for Peace virtual concert are available for purchase now and throughout the Christmas season via http://cathedralphila.org/music/choirs-at-the-cathedral-basilica/A link will be emailed to you when a ticket is purchased. 

Volunteer English Program in Chester County: Become a Volunteer Tutor! Tutors provide weekly, one-to-one English language instruction for adult immigrants and refugees who speak one of over 50 languages spoken in Chester County. Tutors must be available for a one-year commitment to virtual tutoring. Prior teaching experience is not required. Life experience, time and compassion for helping others is a plus! Join us at the January 2021 Virtual Training Workshop to get involved in making a difference in your community! The next 3-day training program will be held via the Zoom Virtual Platform on Monday, January 25, Wednesday, January 27 and Thursday, January 28, 6:00-8:00 PM each evening. Compassionate Caretaker Needed: A lovely, elderly couple is looking for a compassionate individual, part-time, approximately 2-4 hours per day. Help is needed for medication reminders, making lunch, doing laundry, running dishwasher, other household chores and occasional incidental shopping at Giant which is right next door. Archdiocese of Philadelphia-Voices of Faith: Tune into the Voices of Faith radio program monthly for a powerful message of TRUST and HOPE from Archbishop Perez. The program airs the first Saturday of every month on WPHT/1210 am at 5:00 PM. You can listen to the live broadcast on your Smartphone via the Radio.com app by searching for WPHT. Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary: The Seminary recently announced the launch of the Institute for Christian Formation with classes beginning in January 2021. The Institute offers a dynamic, new program of spiritual formation and development for men and women in a non-degree/non-credit format. Sessions will be held on Thursday evenings but not every week so that the program is manageable for most. The full program consists of four seasons over two years and participants who complete the full program will receive a certificate of completion that will be recorded in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Catechetical Formation. The cost for any single eight-week season is $250. The Institute will be open to new participants each January. Registration is now open. For more information, please visit www.scs.edu/ICF.
