Volunteer Opportunity for Partners in Outreach

Volunteer Opportunity for Partners in OutreachJoin your neighbors and fellow parishioners and make a REAL impact in the life of a 2nd grade student in one of 6 grade schools in Chester County. Administered by Partners in Outreach, REAL: Reading Excites All Learners is a one-on-one tutoring program built to support at-risk readers in early grades. Join the REAL team and help a second grade student with their reading skills on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, or serve as a substitute as openings occur.  No experience is necessary. Mass for Peace and Justice

In October, Chestnut Hill College will observe a month of nonviolence as we pray and advocate for an end to gun violence in our city. In particular, we are grateful that Archbishop Nelson Perez will celebrate a Mass for Peace and Justice on Saturday, October 16 at 10:00 AM in our Sorgenti Arena. Roman Catholic High School Open House

Roman Catholic High School will hold its Fall Open House for prospective students on Sunday, October 17th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Pre-registration is required and because of the pandemic we request that only one parent attend with their son. Scholarship Entrance Exams- Roman Catholic High School will administer three entrance exams for 8th grade boys this fall on Saturday, October 23rd / Sunday, November 7th / Saturday, November 27th. Testing will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at noon. We ask that all applicants arrive 30 minutes ahead of time. Catholic Women’s Conference

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia annual Catholic Women’s Conference will be held on Saturday, October 23, at the  National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA. The conference is a unique event designed for all Catholic women – married, single, and consecrated.  The mission of the conference is three-fold: to invite women into a personal and transformative encounter with Jesus Christ, to form women in the truth about their feminine genius, and to equip women to be a leaven for the world, living their feminine gifts in service to the family, the Church and all aspects of society. Writing Retreat

November 2-4, the Marianist Family Retreat Center in Cape May, NJ will host a writing retreat. Writing is a safe and fulfilling way to honor our stories. There will be daily Mass, time to reflect, write, and open up this blessed avenue for self-expression. Chester County Women’s Services 5K Walk/Run for Life

Gather your friends and family and join us on Saturday, November 13th at Hibernia Park in Coatesville for the CCWS 5k Walk/Run for LIFE. Doors open at 8:00 AM. The race begins at 9:00 AM.
