Bulletin - June 10, 2018

A Word from Father Stokely

Congratulations to Deacon Jon Hess and Deacon Kevin Mead, both of whom were ordained as Permanent Deacons by Archbishop Chaput this Saturday!

We also congratulate Jon's wife, Sandy, and Kevin's wife, Debbie, as well as their families who have accompanied these new deacons throughout their discernment and faith journey.

The Collect for the Ordination of Deacons asks God to "grant that these your servants (Jon and Kevin), whom you graciously choose today for the office of Deacon, may be effective in action, gentle in ministry and constant in prayer." This is our prayer as well, so that they may have many years of holy and fruitful service at the altar and in the Church.

To learn more about the Permanent Diaconate, check out the article in the latest issue of "The Spirit" newsletter. Fr. John Stokely
