Youth Ministry - Welcome!

Image

The mission of the youth ministry program is to support the development of spirit-filled youth leaders who abide by the Father, imitate and follow the Son, and live in the power of the Holy Spirit. By developing intentional disciples of Jesus Christ, the programming raises up, equips, empowers, and launches each participant’s path into becoming full-fledged members of the parish and positively contributing to the wider community.

Our Program allows for students to grow in:

Relationship

This speaks to allowing youth the opportunity to meet their peers and build friendships within the parish community, so that they can learn and grow off of their shared values and experiences and how it interacts with their faith. Relationship also refers to the focus of providing participants the opportunity to form a personal relationship with God. The youth ministry program strives to lead individuals to a real encounter with Christ in the sacraments and a personal friendship made possible through the Holy Spirit through exposure to various liturgical, devotional, and spiritual practices.

Discipleship

By helping participants to shift their personal values from who they present to peers in social settings, concentrating on their desire to “fit in,” to their shared identity as called together by God, they are able to discover their identity as known and loved by God. In turn, these real encounters of Christ fuel everyone to share their experiences and evangelize others. This is what it truly means to be a disciple. The youth ministry program, then, emphasizes equipping participants with the tools to spread the gospel effectively.

Stewardship

By providing opportunities for youth to participate in prayerful and volunteer-focused activities, they are able to see themselves as full-fledged members of the parish community who are capable of supporting and lifting others up with the gifts, skills, and charisms that they currently possess.
