All are invited to a three-evening parish mission entitled: “Reconsider Your Own Calling” - Reflections on 1 Corinthians 1/26, to be conducted by Father Matthew Allman, C.Ss.R., a Redemptorist priest serving at the National Shrine of St. John Neumann in Philadelphia.

Father Allman will introduce the mission by preaching at all four Masses on the weekend of February 7-8. At 7:00 PM each evening on Sunday-Monday-Tuesday, February 8-9-10, we will have Evening Prayer and the mission presentation. Come out for one evening, two evenings or all three! On Tuesday evening, we will conclude the mission with Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

The themes for Father Allman’s three talks are: on Sunday- Affirming Our Priestly Calling; on Monday- Engaging Our Prophetic Calling; and on Tuesday- Embracing Our Royal Calling.

In his mission homilies, Father Allman will invite us to return to the beginnings of our lives in Christ and to focus on the sacred calling we have all received as we were lifted from the baptismal waters and anointed with the Holy Chrism. The mission will offer participants an opportunity to be renewed in the priestly, prophetic and royal vocation that belongs to all Christians.

During this time of preparation for the World Meeting of Families, we will explore our challenge as a family of faith to make the world holy, to seek and proclaim the truth, and to order all things so that God’s will may be accomplished.
